Psalm 22
Prosopon = face, person, character, speaker
Prosopological Prophecy is like a play where the Prophet takes on the role of a character in a divine conversation. Usually the Pre-incarnate Jesus.
When Christ became flesh he humbled himself. His whole life is a testament of humbling himself to save humanity.
He humbled himself by:
- Becoming human
- Coming as a baby, a poor baby
- Being a servant (washing feet)
- Associating with culturally undesirable people
- Submitting to the Father
- Accepting Rejection and Mockery
- Enduring Crucifixion
- Bore our sins and punishment
Philippians 2:5-11
Christ did not consider equality with God to be something to use to His advantage.
Being an adopted child of God is not something to be used to our advantage.
When we are born again we are born again into that same humility.
Christ has done it and we are to follow in his footsteps.
The Father is in the business of raising humble children, of which you are one, a fellow heir with Christ.
